I build the AI systems
UK businesses actually
use every day.

First-class engineer, with live builds running in production across automotive, energy, EPC compliance and trade services. I write the production code myself, so you don't pay me to manage a subcontractor.

What's actually shipped.

Bespoke AI engineering for named UK clients. Every system below is running in production today.

  • WheelsAI (UK used-car dealers). Inbound leads get an SMS inside 60 seconds; the industry average is 47 minutes. Newly listed vehicles trigger market-pricing analysis automatically, and dormant buyers are re-engaged by the Lead Revival Agent. Read the case study.
  • Renew Energies (North West solar installer). Five SaaS tools collapsed into one custom CRM: speed-to-lead engine, automatic EPC checks, a mobile survey app with real-time image sync, and AI agents for the website and social posting. Ongoing engineering retainer. Read the case study.
  • Thermova (EPC compliance platform). Bulk EPC matching against the national register processes a hundred-property portfolio in minutes instead of a day, with an RdSAP 10 corrected-EPC workflow and Pulse air permeability testing. Read the case study.
  • TS Plastering (plastering and rendering). Post-job photos go in by Telegram and a published case study comes out, in under 90 seconds at £0.30 each. Read the case study.
15h → 2h
Tasks that used to swallow a day now finish before lunch.
Week → Same day
Processes that crawled across the calendar now close out the same day.
Quietly handled
The admin draining your best people gets processed automatically.

Same engineer. Same discipline. Different operations.

Dean Griffiths — Founder, AIMindShift

Why I build, instead of practising the engineering I studied.

I spent four years training as an automotive engineer: first-class honours from Lancaster University, taught at Blackpool and the Fylde College. Four years of CAD models, CFD simulation and control algorithms, learning to design the machines that move people.

Then, a few weeks after graduating, I watched generative AI start doing the work I had just trained for. It was producing CAD drawings from a text prompt, setting up CFD simulations, and writing the control algorithms engineers used to tune by hand. The overlap between what AI could already do and what I had spent four years learning was bigger than anyone in the engineering department would say out loud.

That realisation changed what counted as the most useful thing I could build. If AI could handle some of the hardest technical work in engineering, the same shift was coming for the everyday work of every business: the quoting, the follow-up, the paperwork. Somebody had to build those systems properly, and very few engineers were choosing to.

Once I started looking, the pattern was everywhere: businesses paying senior salaries for clerical output, paying for twelve SaaS subscriptions that almost fit, and queueing every decision on one founder. None of it is a people problem.

It's all a systems problem.

So I build the systems.

What AIMindShift actually is.

Custom AI engineering for UK businesses, from small firms drowning in admin to founder-led operations that have hit a capacity wall.

Not a product to configure and not a packaged service. A system engineered around how your business actually runs, fitted to your software and your team's existing workflows.

Every build starts with a discovery call. Every line of production code is mine. Self-hosted where the data demands it. Every retainer is open-ended; the longest-running has been continuous for over a year.

How I work.

Every build starts with a discovery call. No deck. No pitch. A technical conversation about where your time is actually leaking.

I diagnose the three bottlenecks costing you the most in hours and money. Then I tell you whether a custom build is the right answer, or whether a process change or a different hire would solve it cheaper.

If we build, we build. If we don't, you keep a costed bottleneck map and you've lost an hour.

What I care about.

Systems that actually work. Outcomes you can measure. Code I'd be willing to debug at 11pm on a Tuesday because I wrote it myself.

The work that gets me out of bed: a partner firm processing more cases without working longer hours. A dealership booking more appointments without burning more ad budget. A solicitor's team getting back the half-day a week they were losing to dictation.

The alternative is watching dedicated people work 16-hour days and still fall behind because the system around them is broken.

I'd rather build something that fixes that.
